Our lower school program, which encompasses grades one through three, challenges the students to reach new levels of understanding in all subjects, but our approach is wholly appropriate to their age level and mental development.
Mastery of basics drives the curriculum at this phase. The curriculum is rigorous yet flexible to the needs of each child. Learning takes place in a warm and caring atmosphere.
The core subjects of language arts, math science, and social studies are complemented with classes in art, Spanish, library, music, physical education, and computer technology.
Every subject area provides opportunities for teachers to teach character as an important part of our mission. Sullins students learn the importance of responsibility, generosity, and integrity beginning at a very early age.
