COMMUNITY
Beyond inspiring students to achieve academic excellence, we empower our students with the knowledge of how to become citizens of excellence, too.
We provide a variety of ways for students of all ages to become leaders in and out of the school setting. We encourage the students to be involved and do their part, both in the school community and in our larger community.
In our school community, we share many events and traditions. Students have the opportunity to join several clubs and groups. Middle school students are responsible for Safety Patrol, study buddies here and off-campus at a local preschool, managing sales at the bookstore, and other helpful opportunities as they arise. Students can attend the SOAR program after school for enrichment and recreation.
Parents get involved through our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The PTO meets monthly and plans many of the activities that bring our school community together, like Back to School Night and Family Game Night. Parents and friends also provide countless volunteer hours helping in the classroom, running copies, cutting and pasting, laminating, organizing, driving on field trips, setting up class parties, creating props for productions, or serving lunches on Friday. The PTO also raises funds for the "extras" that aren't in the budget!
From participating in recreational sports leagues to partnerships with local non-profits for service projects, it is important for our students to be involved in our greater community. We also invite the community to join us for events throughout the year. Our summer camp each year is open to area children and has fun weekly themes.
