Sullins Academy has been fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) since 1997.

VAIS is the leader in advancing independent school education in Virginia and is recognized by the Virginia Board of Education through the Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE).

To maintain VAIS accreditation, Sullins undergoes a full review of all policies, procedures, and programming every five years. The process includes site visits and reviews of all documentation by VAIS representatives.
