Sullins Academy offers a full summer of engaging weekly camps that provide both enriching experiences and flexible care options for children ages 3–14 (preschoolers must be potty-trained).

 

With creative weekly themes, our program keeps children active, learning, and exploring in a fun, interactive environment throughout the summer. Each morning, children are placed in age-appropriate groups and participate in themed enrichment camps from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Special guest instructors will provide a variety of these enrichment opportunities and are featured on the camp calendar. Our programs reflect the quality and character of Sullins Academy: hands-on, engaging, and rooted in creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving.

Whether your family is looking for exciting summer enrichment experiences or a full-day program that fits your schedule, Summer at Sullins reflects who we are as a school community: providing high-quality programs that nurture creativity, curiosity, and learning.

JUNE CAMPS

  • Week 1:  May 26-29  Under the Sea  (Closed 05/25)

    • Dive into a magical underwater adventure where our youngest campers explore ocean animals, splash into sensory play, and create sea-inspired crafts. Through hands-on STEM experiments, playful movement, and interactive read-alouds, campers will discover the wonders of the deep blue sea. We’ll count fish, sort seashells, and pretend to be marine explorers on exciting daily missions. It’s the perfect blend of imagination, early learning, and ocean-sized fun!

  • Week 2:  June 1-5  Into the Stars

    • Blast off into a week of space exploration designed just for our youngest astronauts! Campers will explore planets, rockets, and stars through playful STEM activities, hands-on crafts, sensory bins, and interactive read-alouds. We’ll count moon rocks, build simple rockets, and learn about day and night in fun, age-appropriate ways. It’s a stellar adventure full of imagination, movement, and out-of-this-world fun!

  • Week 3:  June 8-12  Enrichment: Little Chefs  (Instructor - Mrs. Galloway)

    • Get ready to mix, mash, sprinkle, and stir! In Little Chefs Camp, our youngest campers will explore the exciting world of cooking through hands-on, sensory-rich activities designed just for preschoolers.

  • Week 4:  June 15-18  Enrichment: Imagination Station  (Instructor - Mrs. Campbell)  (Closed 06/19)

    • Did you know we lose creativity as we age? Our campers are creative geniuses, and it's time to let their creative abilities shine. Students can let their curiosities guide them through hands-on activities at a variety of stations that encourage both practical and academic skills while allowing for complete creative exploration. This camp is largely self-directed and self-paced, and students choose whether they'd prefer to work alone, with a partner or in a group for their desired social interaction level. Just bring yourself and your imagination. We can't wait to see what you'll create!

  • Week 5:  June 22-26 Enrichment: Wet & Wild  (Instructor - Mrs. Long)

    • Get ready to splash, slide, and soak up the fun! Wet & Wild Water Camp is the ultimate high-energy summer experience packed with cool water activities. Campers will enjoy water slides, slip and slides, and even ice excavating, plus water games, relay challenges, and plenty of opportunities to stay active and beat the heat. It’s a week full of laughter, teamwork, and unforgettable summer fun!

JULY CAMPS

  • Week 6:  June 29-July 2  Enrichment: Little Lab Coats (Instructor - Mrs. Galloway)  (Closed 07/03)

    • Our science campers will explore exciting themes like colorful chemical reactions, air and movement, nature discoveries, magnets and motion, and amazing matter. Through playful investigations, sensory stations, simple read-alouds, and guided reflections, children build vocabulary, confidence, and critical thinking skills in a joyful, age-appropriate environment.

  • Week 7:  July 6-10  Enrichment: Music & Art Experience  (Instructors - Ms. Tallman & Ms. Asbury)

    • Where stories come to life! Each day, campers will dive into a story and then use their imaginations to turn the story into colorful art projects and exciting music activities. It’s a joyful, hands-on experience filled with creativity and  laughter!

  • Week 8:  July 13-17  Enrichment: Artists in Bloom  (Instructor - Mrs. Nelson)

    • Art camp is a hands-on creative adventure where young artists explore a variety of exciting mediums. Campers experiment with painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media, and more while building skills and creative confidence. Each day sparks imagination and self-expression. The week ends with an art show showcasing their masterpieces. Whether your child loves messy paint or detailed creations, there’s something inspiring for every young artist.

  • Week 9:  July 20-24  Enrichment: Shark Week  (Instructor - Mrs. Galloway)

    • Campers will investigate the amazing world of sharks through hands-on experiments, sensory play, ocean crafts, and jaw-some STEM challenges. From testing how sharks hunt to measuring life-size shark outlines and cleaning up our pretend ocean, campers will build vocabulary, confidence, and curiosity. It’s a “fintastic” week full of discovery, imagination, and BIG ocean fun for our littlest scientists!

  • Week 10:  July 27-31  Enrichment: Imagination Station  (Instructor - Mrs. Campbell)

    • Did you know we lose creativity as we age? Our campers are creative geniuses, and it’s time to let their talents shine. Students will explore hands-on stations that build practical and academic skills while encouraging full creative expression. With new materials and fresh challenges, both returning campers and first-time creators will have plenty to discover. This largely self-directed camp allows students to work independently, with a partner, or in a group based on their preferred level of collaboration. Just bring yourself and your imagination. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

AUGUST CAMPS

  • Week 11:  August 3-7  Enrichment: Dino Discovery  (Instructor - Mrs. Galloway)

    • Stomp, roar, and explore as our campers travel back to the land before time! During this hands-on dinosaur adventure, young campers will dig for fossils, erupt volcanoes, sort herbivores and carnivores, and build their own dino habitats through playful STEM activities and sensory exploration. Each day is designed to spark curiosity, grow vocabulary, and build confidence in a joyful, age-appropriate environment.

  • Week 12:  August 10-14  Time Travelers

    • Get ready to travel back in time! During this exciting week, campers will journey to the past through interactive storytelling, hands-on crafts, sensory play, and STEM adventures that bring history to life. From building simple castles and exploring dinosaurs to discovering how families lived long ago, campers will explore big ideas in age-appropriate, engaging ways. It’s a magical week of imagination, discovery, and learning as we step into the past and watch it come alive!

  • Week 12:  August 10-14  Enrichment: Camp Kindergarten  (Instructor - Ms. Van Wyhe)  *RISING K ONLY*

    • This fun and engaging camp helps children build the skills and confidence they need for a successful start to Kindergarten. Through hands-on activities, playful learning, and guided exploration, campers strengthen early literacy and math skills, practice social interaction, and grow in independence in a nurturing, supportive environment. We can’t wait to watch our future Kindergarteners shine!

  • Week 13:  August 17-21  Out of the Pool & Back to School

    • Get ready for a brand-new school adventure! In this playful back-to-school camp, our students will bring storybooks to life through hands-on crafts, imaginative play, read-alouds, and school-themed STEM activities. Campers will practice classroom routines, build confidence, explore letters and numbers, and discover what it means to be brave, curious learners. It’s a fun, engaging way to blend literacy, creativity, and back-to-school excitement to help our students start strong!

JUNE CAMPS

  • Week 1:  May 26-29  Under the Sea  (Closed 05/25)

    • Get ready to dive deep into a week of ocean exploration filled with hands-on STEM challenges, creative art projects, and engaging literacy activities. Campers will investigate sea creatures, build underwater habitats, experiment with buoyancy, and solve ocean-themed engineering missions. Each day blends science, reading, math, and creativity in an exciting, interactive environment. It’s learning that feels like an underwater adventure!

  • Week 2:  June 1-5  Into the Stars

    • Prepare for launch as campers dive into an exciting week of hands-on space science and engineering challenges. Students will design rockets, build moon landers, explore gravity, and investigate the solar system through interactive STEM labs and literacy connections. Each day blends curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving in an engaging, collaborative environment. It’s the perfect mission for young explorers ready to reach for the stars!

  • Week 3:  June 8-12  Enrichment: Cheerleading  (Instructor - Coach Zoie Long)

    • Eagle Cheer Camp is a high-energy, action-packed experience open to all skill levels. Campers will master basic cheer motions, cheers, chants, and simple dance routines while boosting confidence, building teamwork, and igniting school spirit. With fun games, dynamic activities, and plenty of chances to shine, every student leaves energized, proud, and ready to cheer loud!

  • Week 3:  June 8-12  Enrichment: Junior Chefs  (Instructor - Mrs. Kennedy)

    • Junior Chefs is a hands-on culinary camp designed especially for rising 1st–3rd graders who are ready to grow their confidence in the kitchen. Throughout the week, campers will mix, measure, stir, bake, and create a variety of kid-friendly recipes while learning real-life cooking skills in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Week 4:  June 15-18  Enrichment: Imagination Station  (Instructor - Mrs. Campbell)  (Closed 06/19)

    • Students will become playwrights, choreographers, and performers! We'll choose and sing our favorite songs of summer, create a script around those songs, assign parts, create choreography, and present a never-before-seen show on Friday at 11 a.m.

  • Week 7:  July 6-10  Enrichment: Music & Art Experience  (Instructors - Ms. Tallman & Ms. Asbury)

    • Where stories come to life! Each day, campers will dive into a story and then use their imaginations to turn the story into colorful art projects and exciting music activities. It’s a joyful, hands-on experience filled with creativity and  laughter!

    • Did you know we lose creativity as we age? Our kiddos are creative geniuses, and it’s time to let their talents shine! Students explore hands-on activities that build practical and academic skills while encouraging full creative expression. This self-directed, self-paced camp lets them work alone, with a partner, or in a group, and even if they attended before, they’re welcome to come again for a fresh, new experience. Just bring yourself and your imagination. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

AUGUST CAMPS

  • Week 11:  August 3-7  Enrichment: P.E. Games  (Instructor - Mrs. Long)

    • Join us for a high-energy, action-packed PE Games Week! This camp is filled with students’ favorite PE games and activities that keep everyone moving and engaged. Each day focuses on teamwork, movement, sportsmanship, and fun in a safe, supportive, and supervised environment. Activities are adjusted by age group to ensure every student feels challenged, confident, and successful.

  • Week 12:  August 10-14  Time Travelers

    • Get ready to travel back in time! During this exciting week, campers will journey to the past through interactive storytelling, hands-on crafts, sensory play, and STEM adventures that bring history to life. Activities include imaginative storytelling, arts and crafts, games, and interactive play that encourage creativity, friendship, and confidence. Each day is designed to spark joy and make lasting memories for campers and their dolls alike!

Everyone can join the fun, whether or not they’ve played before, and the week ends with a lively celebration where campers showcase their progress, teamwork, and newfound confidence on the court.

JUNE CAMPS

    • This immersive marine science camp challenges upper elementary and middle school learners to think like oceanographers and marine biologists. Campers will conduct experiments, design STEM builds, analyze ocean ecosystems, and explore real-world environmental issues affecting our seas. Through collaborative projects and problem-solving challenges, students will deepen their understanding of marine science while strengthening critical thinking skills. It’s an engaging, hands-on experience that makes waves in both learning and curiosity!

  • Week 2:  June 1-5  Into the Stars

    • This dynamic space science experience invites upper elementary and middle school learners to think like engineers, astronomers, and mission designers. Campers will explore forces and motion, model planetary systems, design spacecraft prototypes, and analyze real-world space challenges. Through team-based problem solving and inquiry-driven experiments, students will strengthen critical thinking while deepening scientific understanding. It’s an immersive, high-engagement camp that inspires big thinking beyond Earth’s atmosphere.

  • Week 3:  June 8-12  Enrichment: Itching to Stitch  (Instructor - Ms. Ruby Cortner)

    • From mastering fundamental stitches to embroidering a myriad of items, this camp will scratch that itch! After learning best practices of embroidery and sewing, you will have the opportunity to choose pre-transferred designs or draw your own to embroider a sewing bag, a supplies pouch, and a kitchen towel for yourself or gifts for others. Best of all? You can stitch with friends you know and make new friends! All necessary supplies are included in the price of the camp.

  • Week 4:  June 15-18  Enrichment: From Bricks to Bots  (Instructor - Mrs. Eisenhart)  (Closed 06/19)

    • Robotics is more than just building machines. It’s about developing critical thinking skills, resilience, teamwork, and confidence. Campers will design, code, and use Lego engineering skills to tap into their creative side, solve exciting challenges, and bring their ideas to life. Along the way, they’ll experiment, innovate, and see firsthand how imagination and engineering come together to create amazing results.

  • Week 5:  June 22-26  Enrichment: Story Explorers  (Instructor - Mrs. Statzer)

    • Get ready for a week of stories, creativity, and hands-on fun! Each day we’ll dive into a brand-new book or short story built around an exciting theme, then bring it to life with interactive games and imaginative crafts. From mystery and adventure to heartwarming tales and silly surprises, every day will feel like a brand-new adventure. 

JULY CAMPS

  • Week 6:  June 29-July 2  Enrichment: Cooking Around the World  (Instructor - Mrs. Kennedy)(Closed 07/03)​​

    • This camp invites students to explore global cultures through food! Each session, campers will “travel” to a new country, learn fun facts about its traditions and cuisine, and create delicious recipes inspired by that region. It’s a hands-on culinary adventure that builds cooking skills, explores the world, and grows confidence in the kitchen.

  • Week 7:  July 6-10  Enrichment: Music & Art Experience (Instructors - Ms. Tallman & Ms. Asbury)

    • Where stories come to life! Each day, campers will dive into a story and then use their imaginations to turn the story into colorful art projects and exciting music activities. It’s a joyful, hands-on experience filled with creativity and  laughter!

  • Week 8:  July 13-17  Enrichment: Stitch, Craft, & Bake  (Instructor - Mrs. Statzer)

    • This is a hands-on, creative week full of cozy fun and new skills! Each day, campers will explore a new theme as they learn basic sewing, create unique crafts, and whip up simple cooking or baking projects. This camp is perfect for kids who love to make things with their hands and try a little bit of everything. By the end of the week, campers will leave with new confidence, practical skills, and plenty of creations to take home!

  • Week 9:  July 20-24  Enrichment: Art Lab  (Instructor - Mrs. Nelson)

    • Art camp is a hands-on creative adventure where budding artists explore a variety of exciting mediums. AUGUST CAMPS
