Students who are interested in playing music will find private sessions at the Sullins School of Music. We have three experienced instructors able to provide weekly lessons in piano, voice, guitar, and band instruments.

MusikGarten classes for infants, toddlers, and children help them learn to appreciate music and become budding musicians. The classes provide an outlet for creativity, expression, and the boundless supply of energy they have!

Recitals and performances at school events give these pupils a stage for showcasing their talents.

"I enjoy seeing the happiness and confidence that comes from students as they learn how to sing with more skill and passion.  Experiencing the progress is what I enjoy sharing with my students"

Voice Instructor

Erin Looney

B.S. Music Education and Bible, Kentucky Christian University.  Looney has ten years teaching experience.

"I teach because I love being able to share the gift of music with children, and I want to instill a love of music in others while giving them the tools needed to create music themselves.  I love spending time with my family, being a mom and a wife, and having the opportunity to share my love of the Lord, music, food, and life with my daughter and husband."

Ashley performs regionally with two acoustic bands and her local church band. Her hobbies include bicycling, coffee, music jam sessions, and gardening.

“I love teaching young musicians how to make their instrument become their voice. Music will be a special part of them for the rest of their lives. These kids are learning their Appalachian history and heritage when they learn an old-time fiddle tune. I have been highly impressed with everyone at Sullins. It is a fun and nurturing environment for kids in the community.”
