The SOAR Summer Program offers childcare from 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday - Friday for children ages  3 - 13. Children will be divided into appropriate age groups each morning before participating in the daily themed activities listed below.

1. Change of clothes (label and bag)

2. Blanket for campers ages 3 - 5 who will be staying for the afternoon (cots will be provided)

3. Insect repellent and/or sunscreen (label)

4. Tennis shoes are required

5. One piece bathing suit, water shoes, and towel for Water Wednesdays

6. Packed lunch

A morning and afternoon snack are provided. Lunch is not provided. A reusable water bottle is recommended.


Early registration is encouraged. Pre-registration is required. In order to sign up for the SOAR Summer Program, one week's deposit is also required. This will be applied to the last week of attendance.

Kaylyn Leonard, SOAR Staff

Kaylyn is currently studying Elementary Education with a certification in ESL at King University. She joined the Sullins team in August 2016. She enjoys providing support for children to grow academically and socially. As Kaylyn continues her education, she plans to carry her experience from Sullins into a Speech Pathologist career.

Hailey Burton, SOAR Staff

Hailey is currently studying at Northeast State and began working in SOAR in the fall of 2017. She is highly involved in the community through the Tennessee Promise Program where she volunteers at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. Hailey enjoys being able to help and encourage children of all ages.

Cameron Leonard, SOAR Staff

Cameron is currently studying education at King University and joined the Sullins team in January of 2018. She enjoys working with children of all ages and aspires to continue a career in education as a middle school math teacher. She is currently coaching an elementary and middle school volleyball team as well.
