SOAR SUMMER PROGRAM

Our SOAR program offers childcare from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and is open to students as young as three years old (must be potty trained). Students who are not enrolled at Sullins Academy may also participate in our childcare program. Daily themed activities guide children through fun projects, activities, and games. 

Early registration is encouraged. Pre-registration is required. Please use the green Summer at Sullins Registration button to register for SOAR.

Based upon current guidelines, students will be required to wear a mask. Any changes in this policy will be communicated as soon as possible.
 

ITEMS TO BRING

1. Change of clothes (label and bag)

2. Blanket for campers ages 3-5 who will be staying for the afternoon (Cots will be provided)

3. Insect repellent and/or sunscreen (label)

4. Tennis shoes are required

5. Bathing suit, water shoes, and towel for Water Wednesdays

6. Packed lunch

$150.00 per week

10% discount for siblings

Drop in rate: $9/hr or $45/day

Shelly Van Wyhe

Ms. Van Wyhe has seven years teaching experience, five of those years at Sullins Academy. She participated in the 2018 ITEEA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia representing S.T.E.A.M education for Sullins. Ms. Van Wyhe has also coached cross-country at Sullins Academy for two seasons as well as served as a liaison and head coach for Girls On the Run. She and her son, Dante, are very athletic and love spending time running, swimming, hiking, and exploring.

Hailey Burton

Hailey is currently studying at Northeast State and began working in SOAR in the fall of 2017. She is highly involved in the community through the Tennessee Promise Program where she volunteers at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Johnson City, Tennessee. Hailey enjoys being able to help and encourage children of all ages.
